■Anti-wear agents: Anti-wear agents help protect parts of the engine that are especially susceptible to damage from high temperatures, like cylinder walls, lifters, cams, and piston rings. This additive acts as a protective layer around these components to limit friction in metal-on-metal situations.
Oil seals, which are also referred to as radial shaft seals, rotary shaft seals, grease seals, or fluid seals, are used to close the gaps between fixed and moving parts of mechanical equipment. They are put between moving and stationary mechanical parts to make sure that moisture, contaminants, corrosive materials, and abrasives don’t cause any damage to these parts.

Rubber oil seals with a rubber fabric outer case
A patent for an oil seal was filed by Nelson Thomas Edward on August 12, 1937, and published a year later. There were two purposes described. The device was to provide an oil seal between a fixed housing and a rotating part. The seal is described as
