Kationisk polyacrylamid er velegnet til suspensionsopløsninger indeholdende organisk stof og har negativ ladning. Anionisk polyakrylamid er velegnet til uorganisk suspensionsstof med højere densitet med positiv ladning og er neutral eller basisk med tykke suspensionspartikler på 1 mm-10 mm.
Polyacrylamid kommer i forskellige former, såsom granulær, flydende olieemulsion, tablet og blokformer. Tørt polyakrylamid er lettere at opbevare, transportere og dosere i hovedgrøfter, og de har også en længere holdbarhed end flydende former. Flydende former kræver dog mindre omrøring for at opløses.
Manufacturing Process：
Polyacrylamider syntetiseres ved polymerisation af akrylamid (C3H5INGEN). Akrylamid opløses sædvanligvis i vand, og de opløste monomerer (enkelt-enhedsmolekyler) induceres til at polymerisere (linkes sammen for at danne store molekyler med flere enheder) gennem virkningen af fri-radikal-initiatorer.
