A PAM flokkulálószer a legtöbb szerves oldószerben nem oldódik, jó pelyhesedést mutat, és csökkentheti a folyadékok közötti súrlódási ellenállást. A kationos poliakrilamid szerves anyagot tartalmazó szuszpenziós oldatokhoz alkalmas, negatív töltésű. Az anionos poliakrilamid nagyobb sűrűségű, pozitív töltésű szervetlen szuszpenziós anyagokhoz alkalmas, semleges vagy bázikus, 1 mm-10 mm vastag szuszpenziós részecskékkel.
A poliakrilamid különféle formákban kapható, például granulált, folyékony olajos emulzió, tabletta és blokk formákban. A száraz poliakrilamid könnyebben tárolható, szállítható és fejárokba adagolható, és hosszabb az eltarthatóságuk is, mint a folyékony formák. A folyékony formák azonban kevesebb keverést igényelnek az oldódáshoz.
Manufacturing Process：
A poliakrilamidokat akrilamid polimerizációjával állítják elő (C3H5NEM). Az akrilamidot általában vízben oldják, és az oldott monomereket (egyegységes molekulák) szabad gyökös iniciátorok hatására polimerizálják (összekapcsolódnak, hogy nagy, több egységből álló molekulákat képezzenek).
