Isoflurane is an inhaled anesthetic with the chemical name 2-chloro-2- (difluoromethoxy) -1,1,1-trifluoroethane and the molecular formula C3H2ClF5O. It is a colorless and transparent liquid, easily volatile, soluble in organic solvents but insoluble in water, with a relative density of 1.495-1.510, a distillation range of 47-50 ℃, and a refractive index of 1.2990-1.3005. This drug belongs to the isomer of Enflurane, which induces anesthesia and awakens quickly, and has little effect on myocardial contractility and liver and kidney function. It inhibits the central nervous system to produce anesthetic effects, making it suitable for inducing and maintaining general anesthesia, as well as for labor anesthesia. Blood pressure and respiratory status should be monitored during use, and contraindications include patients with a history of malignant hyperthermia and pregnant women (excluding cesarean section). Adverse reactions mainly include hypotension, respiratory depression, occasional laryngeal spasms or vomiting. The commonly used concentration of oxygen mixture in clinical practice is 0.5% -3%, and 1% -2.5% concentration is often used to maintain anesthesia.
