Olprinon je selektivní inhibitor fosfodiesterázy 3 (PDE3). Olprinon se používá jako kardiotonikum s pozitivně inotropními a vazodilatačními účinky. Bylo hlášeno, že olprinon zlepšuje mikrocirkulaci a zmírňuje zánět. Olprinon se často používá ke zvýšení srdečního výdeje po kardiopulmonálním bypassu (CPB). Olprinon byl podáván infuzí rychlostí 0,2 μg/kg/min, když bylo zahájeno odvykání od CPB.
