Descripción
La olprinona es un inhibidor selectivo de la fosfodiesterasa 3 (PDE3). La olprinona se utiliza como agente cardiotónico con efectos inotrópicos y vasodilatadores positivos. Se ha informado que la olprinona mejora la microcirculación y atenúa la inflamación. La olprinona se usa a menudo para aumentar el gasto cardíaco después de una derivación cardiopulmonar (CEC). Se infundió olprinona a una velocidad de 0,2 μg/kg/min cuando se inició la desconexión de la CEC. La olprinona también ha demostrado potentes efectos antioxidantes y antiinflamatorios en la lesión pulmonar oxidativa inducida por meconio.
